Welcome to Candy Crafts craft club

What we are all about:

Having spent a successful and hugely enjoyable period passing on our experience to others, teaching people to knit, crochet and more in and around Sale we have decided to re-evaluated what we want Candy Crafts to be. We decided that we wanted to become more inclusive, to open our doors to all comers and get people to come together as a crafting community, where experienced crafters can come and share their passion with others, where novices can learn new skills, and where anyone will be welcome to come and share some "me time" with some friendly faces.

What we do:

The club is open to a variety of crafts, and to anyone with a passion for crafting. We also welcome those who just want a couple of hours break from the stresses of their daily lives!
Bring along your favourite craft, you will be welcome to share your know how with others if you wish, or simply turn up and join in. Wendy and Catherine will happily share their knowledge, and we hope to encourage other members to do the same.

We will hold themed activity sessions, for example Easter, Christmas etc., and hope to put our combined skills to good use by undertaking charity projects (for example the Innocent smoothie "Big Knit" in aid of Age UK). If you have any good suggestions for such projects let us know!

The club meets every Wednesday between 7pm and 9pm, at the Old Pelican public house West Timperly near Altrincham (see "how to find us" below).

There is no charge for joining us - all of our sessions are free*. All that we ask is that you come along prepared to enjoy yourself and help us create a spirit of happy crafting!

Call Wendy on 07999 544939, or pop into the Old Pelican for further details.

*We do suggest that members contribute to a weekly collection in aid of the Christie hospital in lieu of any fees.

Who are Candy Crafts?

Candy Crafts is run by Wendy and Catherine, two teachers who met at their school in Hale. As they became friends they discovered a common passion for all things creative.
As the crafting hunger grew they were both keen to learn as much as they could on crocheting and knitting. They attended a number of courses and were keen internet researchers. But there is only so much You Tube can teach you!

Then they had a brainwave: why don't we form our own craft club?

And so Candy Crafts was born.
